James Sixsmith

Born in October 1914, he enlisted in the DLI in 1940 and after training at the Depot at Brancepeth Castle served with the 6th Battalion DLI in North Africa, Sicily and in France and Germany.

In January 1946 he was discharged from the Army with the rank of Corporal and returned to civilian life.

James Sixsmith died in 1975.
